Celtics limp to an 89-73 loss in Dallas

Boston Celtics, Celtics News, State Of The Celtics

If you're a Celtics fan and you were able to sit through this entire game from start to finish, you deserve a gold star. Or an added two and a half hours on your life to make up for the hot mess that you endured.

Saying that the Celtics lost might be the greatest understatement in the history of life as we know it. It was more like they walked into the Mavericks' house, turned into my third grade basketball team and were promptly clubbed mercilessly with lead pipes before being asked to leave the premises immediately. Even that might be an understatement.

There's a good chance that your favorite Celtic either didn't play in this game or was forced to leave early due to injury. In addition to Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett and Brandon Bass being inactive, Jermaine O'Neal (wrist) and Chris Wilcox (groin) both left in the third quarter. It was a lot of Greg Stiemsma, small ball and terrible basketball in the second half.

At least Avery Bradley looked pretty good. If only he could start at center.
