Shaq doesn't practice today, but will tomorrow

Shaq, Shaquille O'Neal, Celtics News

The Celtics have been used to not having Shaquille O'Neal on the floor with them on a daily basis.  They were hopeful that would change this afternoon.

Now, they're hoping that it changes tomorrow.

Shaq missed practice today as he continues to recover from his strained calf that occurred two weeks ago.  However, it looks like he will rejoin his teammates in practice tomorrow and--according to the Celtics--is "questionable" for Game 1 against the New York Knicks on Sunday evening.

It has to be tough for Doc Rivers and the Celtics that Shaq couldn't get out there today.  Yesterday, Rivers said that today and tomorrow were going to determine whether or not he was ready to go.  The fact that he couldn't even participate doesn't bode well for his chances of suiting up on Sunday.  The always-honest-about-injuries Celtics might list him as "questionable," but he still can't get onto the floor and at least run some drills and that's something that shouldn't make Celtics fans too confident about his return..
